Yixing Zisha Purple Clay Tea Cup

Chinese tea cup mould made in Yixing city 宜兴市, eastern China from the famous Zisha or purple clays/sands. Purple/brown colour will mature well with regular use and age to give a warm lustre. The clay comes from Mr. Ge's stores so is ideally suited to pair with many of our YiXing teapots which are made by this artist and his wife Mrs. Shen.

These Ping Zini 紫泥 or purple clay tea cups are ideal for all tea types especially darker tea such as Puerh, black tea, and darker oolong teas.
