Fujian Min Nan Oolong. Bordering Anxi which is famous for Tie Guan Yin oolong tea, is Yong Chun county 永春县. Here they produce many classic Fujian oolongs many of which are rarely available even within China. Wan Ling is pleased to expand the range of her home region's local teas. Fo Shou 'Buddha Hand', is a classic local tea, named due to the large leaves.

The tea is produced in traditional way by Mr. Chen, who also produces our Abandoned Garden Oolong and Mao Xie. Mr. Chen is a highly awarded tea expert. Mr. Chen takes consider care with each step of the process and is keen not rush the process, including the final baking which is usually done several months after the main production is completed.

The tea is produced in a very traditional, hand made style and wood-charcoal baked for several days.

Vessel Capacity: 150ml tea mug or glass

Tea Tasting Notes

Tea Appearance: Dark, long leaf with hints of red at the edges. Medium oxidisation >50% and a medium bake.

Tea Liquor: Bright, clear, golden liquor.

Tea Aroma: Particularly when preparing in a GaiWan the aroma has a both floral and mineral notes, whilst still maintaining that satisfying comforting essence which characterises great WuYi Shan teas.

Tea Taste: Soft and smooth Oolong. Flavours emerge, from initial sweetness on the tip of the tongue, through a well balanced astringency as the liquor runs over your palate to a long silky finish.
