At the request of many customers and our own growing appreciation of the white teas from Fuding in North Fujian we are pleased to offer this high grade Bai-Mu-Dan 白牡丹 loose leaf white tea.

With it's high proportion of silver needles, our 2011 Bai Mu Dan has a good depth of flavour while combining many of the subtle and smooth characteristics that are sort out by white tea lovers.

Ideal to drink now or for further ageing.

Basic Brewing Information

Unlike, Bai Hao Yin Zhen and other pure tip teas, BaiMuDan white tea should prepared with hotter water. We recommend experimenting in order to find what most suits you however for un-aged white Bai Mu Dan teas we recommend around 85-90c. For aged tea 95-100c.

For best results brew with a GaiWan.

Vessel Capacity: 150 - 200ml
Tea Quantity: 5 - 7g (loose leaf)
Instructions: Rinse and add water. Refill as needed.

Tea Tasting Notes

Tea Appearance: High proportion of full white/silver tips along with green leaf.

Tea Liquor: This white tea liquor goes through a spectrum of colours during it's many brews. Starting a pale golden colour with green hues, by the 3rd and 4th infusions it is a deeper golden colour. Throughout the tea is clear and bright.

Tea Aroma: Complex and multi-layered. Sweet, with hints of honey and meadow hay.

Tea Taste: Smooth and silky. Refreshing with a long sweet finish.
