Keemun black tea or Keemun Red Tea otherwise known as AnHui Qi Men Hong Cha 2010 is a superb example of a rare black tea. Combining great aroma, fine hairy leaf, producing a deep, impressively bright and clear liquor. Complex, refreshing, whilst being robust without overwhelming flavours. A rare example of this classic black tea. Take care and time to savour this rare example of a delicate black tea - you will be surprised by this one. Highly recommended. When HuangMei sent samples back to Wan Ling of this Keemun tea, Wan Ling knew immediately she wanted the whole of this batch of tea for our customers. It is not an easy tea to prepare, the fine hairy leaves demand care and attention. We recommend you take time to prepare this tea, ideally with a gai wan or yixing tea pot. Water temperature should be as low as 80c though 90c is fine - do NOT use boiling water. Wan Ling also recommends that you do NOT leave the leaves covered by the lid of the gai wan or tea pot to reduce the temperature in the pot.
