GALLERIES: Added new section with pictures of Yunnan & Sichuan. Updated all the galleries with larger controls for easier navigation.

Pages updated to include experiment with SSI (Server Side Includes) that displays when a page was last altered and simplifies the menus (for me!). English version only (at present).

ALL PAGES: Added new background images, hopefully for an even better browsing experience.

WHAT'S NEW: This page has now been dedicated to all the new and exciting things that will be happening to Wan Ling Tea House in 2008. For those who liked the old style What's New this page has now been renamed to WEBSITE HISTORY and is what you are reading now!

TEA TYPES: Now forms a new section with individual pages for the key types, which has allowed to expand the depth of content we can provide to you, whilst keeping it as clear and simple as possible.

TEA FACTS: This new section provides an overview of the key places in China and India where tea and tea arts are produced. Whether you are looking for a piece of history, where a certain tea is produced or planning a tea related tour this is the place for you!

Well, where to start?! Finally v3.x is up and running. The delay was much longer than antipacated between versions due to a few unforseen technical challenges (namely IE7!). We hope you like what you find.

 

ALL PAGES: Every page now uses the new design templates for (hopefully) easier reading and navigation.

MAKING TEA: Please visit our new making tea section for more details on changes and additions.

ABOUT TEA & TEA TYPES: These pages have been re-organised. Tea types has now been extended to included additional Oolong's such as Dao Hong Pao & Bai Ji Guan.

CONTACTS: Due to the increasing number of overseas visitors to Shanghai Wan Ling is now offering the facility to book special requirements. If you have a special type or types of tea you'd like to buy or sample please contact her in advance with your requirements and she will endeavour to have these ready for you on your visit.

TEA FACTS: In order to give our visitors a greatrt understanding of the places that tea is produced, a new section on CHINESE TEA has been included. This will be followed in the not to distant future by a page on Indian tea.

LINKS: New links have been added and broken ones removed to help find some of the other delights that exist on tea related sites around the world.

GALLERIES: As mentioned in TEA FACTS, it is the hope of Wan Ling Teahouse that the more information that is provided, the better informed our visitors will be. This section gives a close up, visual look at tea, its production and the surrounding in which it is grown. Please note all images are available in Med/Hi resolution on request.

EVENTS: Covers on going and one off events held by Wan Ling. Latest additions include the latest exhibition of Ian Gregory's work, first ever time in Shanghai.

MUSIC PLAYER: Tea drinking is not just about a single sense. Music is a wonder gift that can complement almost every mood. We are introducing a trial version with some specialist tea music for your pleasure. Please note that closing the Music Player window will stop the music.

MAKING TEA - ZI SHA TEA POT: Added this very interesting page not only to show off the beautiful tea pots but also as a way to look at preparing Pu Er tea.

ABOUT TEA: Chinese version is updated with both some extra pictures as well as more content concerning pu-er and Oolong.

TEA CLASSES: The Chinese version was added and on both we included some new images.

Front page is up dated with a new image to mark the change to v2! The reason for going to v2 was really because I felt the site had reached a fairly mature level, we had added lots of new pages and also to welcome in 2006.

ABOUT TEA: This page was extended throughout but most noticably in the PU ER section. We also added a number of new images here.

MAKING TEA: the original page has been moved and updated. The making tea page is now home to a short introduction and a picture of some dashing British individual who's name I won't mention to save him being hounded by the media!

MAKING TEA - ANXI MODERN STYLE: Has been added.

LINKS: Links page is updated and officially added to the site via our CONTACT US page.

TEA CLASSES: Based on the success of classes we felt it was best to add a new page for this. It is also an opportunity for us to clarify the differences between our Presentations, Demonstrations and Workshops..

CONTACT US: Added a new image and some more information on Wan Ling's tea classes.

Added a new image of some higher grade Oolong on the TEA TYPES page. We also added some more details about how to store tea and the different sizes of Gai Wan's on the MAKING TEA page.

The Website is launched.

We cleaned a lot of the website's typo's and added titles to all pictures. More information was added on the TEA TYPES page espcially about the Oolong, green, Pu Er and Jasmine teas.
