Ian Gregory - Dog & Cyprus Tree (2006)

Exhibitions & commissions

Through her travels Wan Ling meets many artisans who catch her attention. Whether these are purely visual pieces or those that are pratical too, Wan Ling is enthusiastic to include these in her surroundings and to encourage the melding of art and tea through her comissions.

One long term partnership is with old friend and renowned artist Ian Gregory. Ian's work has covered an impressive range of arts from music, television, cinema to painting and ceramics. Wan Ling exhibits a number of Ian's pieces including bowls and specially commissioned handmade gong fu tea cups.

New for our tea art collection in 2008 are some newly commissioned handmade tea cups from English potter Mark Baker. Mark, based in Lytchett Minster, near Poole in Dorset caught Wan Ling's eye in 2007 when visiting the wonderful Poole Pottery shop.

Wan Ling Tea House looks forward to adding beautiful new tea art, from contemporary tea sets to tea drinking related paintings as an on going project. If you are an artist with a love for tea and art please do contact us.
